1. Who we are
CoLab Consulting LLC is an Arizona limited liability company providing AI consulting, workflow automation, and data services. This policy covers colabconsulting.ai and the software CoLab operates for its own business, including its QuickBooks Online integration.
This policy does not replace the agreement governing any specific client engagement. Where an engagement agreement says something different, that agreement controls.
2. This website
The only information this site asks you for is what you type into the contact form: your name, your email address and your message, and if you choose to give them, your company, your phone number and the kind of help you need. We use it to reply to you.
The site runs no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind. It sets no cookies to follow you, and it loads no third party tracking scripts. It loads its fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser requests them from Google. Our hosting provider, Netlify, receives contact form submissions and keeps ordinary server access logs in the course of serving the site.
3. QuickBooks Online data
Our QuickBooks commitment. CoLab uses QuickBooks Online data only to provide the service you authorize, and does not sell that data or use it for advertising.
CoLab operates an internal accounting integration with QuickBooks Online. It requests exactly one scope, com.intuit.quickbooks.accounting. Read and write together is the narrowest scope Intuit publishes, and there is no read only accounting scope available to request. The integration only ever reads. It issues no create, update, delete, send, void, or payment call of any kind.
What it reads is limited to the following:
- invoices
- bills
- account balances
- a receivables cross check
It reads nothing else, and it writes nothing at all.
4. Where QuickBooks data goes
Data read from a connected company is kept on the single company owned machine that runs the integration. CoLab's AI assistant, provided by Anthropic, may read a summary of it for CoLab's partners. Anthropic's business terms do not allow it to train on that data. It is not sold, not used for advertising, and not shared with anyone else. Authorization tokens are stored on that same machine, outside any code repository, and are revocable at any time from the connected Intuit account.
Disconnecting the integration in your QuickBooks Online settings stops all future access immediately. It does not by itself delete information already held under an active engagement or retained for legal and accounting purposes.
QuickBooks Online is operated by Intuit, whose own terms and privacy practices apply to your use of it. CoLab is not affiliated with or endorsed by Intuit.
5. Sharing, retention, and security
We do not sell information, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not build advertising profiles. We share it only where you direct us to, or where the law requires it. Our hosting provider processes website information solely to serve the site.
We keep information for as long as an engagement, a legal obligation, or an ordinary accounting record requires, and no longer than that. We apply reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, while recognizing that no system can be guaranteed secure.
6. Your choices
You may ask us what personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it, subject to applicable law and to our obligations to clients. Email info@colabconsulting.ai and we may need to confirm who you are before acting.
Our services are for businesses and are not directed to children under 13.
7. Changes and contact
